If you add the magnetic lid, the lid is always black; the bottom insert can still use any available color. The included D6 dice, D20 dice, and free meeple are supplied in randomly selected colors; specific colors cannot be requested. The metal tin is not included.

Magnetic-lid color: The lid is always black. The bottom 3D-printed insert can be black, white, green, or red—choose its color at checkout. The $33.99 version adds the black magnetic lid and four exact magnet recesses to the complete-set base. Its outside dimensions stay the same, so the base still fits in the bottom of the original metal tin when the magnetic lid is not being used. Add a centered Dragon, Treasure Chest, Skull, Mystical Tree, Squid, Wizard Tower, Wolf, or Phoenix laser graphic to the black lid for $2.

Measure piece height for a level finished top

Enter the full actual height of every game piece. TinForge lowers each piece into its pocket so 4.0 mm remains above the insert. With accurate measurements, every piece reaches the same 21.0 mm assembled top height, making the lid hold them evenly.

  • Use digital calipers whenever possible.
  • Enter all measurements in millimeters.
  • Measure the widest and tallest outside points.
  • Measure each dimension from every applicable side and enter the largest value. Dice and other pieces may look even, but one side can measure slightly larger than another.
  • Measure the full actual thickness or height.
  • Check irregular shapes in more than one place.
  • Do not estimate from packaging or advertised sizes.

The locked 0.7 mm fit allowance is applied when the insert is made to help ensure your game pieces fit without being too tight. It cannot correct a significantly inaccurate measurement.
